CBI Antenna Mount - Help me mount a Dune/Safety Flag to it

I have the CBI T4R3 Antenna Mount coming in the mail soon. Its the best option I could find to mount a six foot dune/whip/safety flag mast to, which is something I need for a local ORV park.

The flag pole will fit right through the antenna mast hole. What I am unsure about is what to do with the mast once it is through. Most antennas come with fasteners or bracket things (as seen in the product photos above) that securely attach the antenna to the mount.

However this flag mast I have is a simple, decently flexible, plastic stick. Any ideas for how to secure this flag mast to this mount?

really I just don't know what the standard cb antenna fastener thing is called (if that would even work in this scenario)

I made a little bracket to attach to my roof rack rails out of flat steel.

The flag with the bolt may work going through the CBI mount. I have broken too many of them to use them without a spring.

Thanks! That spring looks like it could work. I know it may be tough to tell from the image alone, but do you suspect I could get that spring bolt to fit through the (seemingly) small hole in the bracket I linked?

Pretty sure it will fit. Here is the mount on my son's 4runner for scale.

You can get little adapters that clamp down on the fiberglass flag. Honestly though i am super surprised that your flag didn't come with one. As mentioned above, i would invest in a better quality flag with a spring mount.

p.s. is there any rules or regs surrounding flag placement? Some parks don't care and some state it has to be the forward most part of the vehicle.
