CBI ditch light brackets

Sure.

1) Open door
2) remove rubber gasket on door exposing 10mm bolt, remove bolt
3) remove 3x10mm bolts on fender
4) pull fender out and wedge something in place so you can access 12mm hood hinge bolts
5) Have your buddy hold hood
6) remove 2x12mm bolts on hood hinge
7) slip bracket over hinge and replace 2x12mm bolts
8) put everything back together

I unfortunately messed up on #7 and will have to reinstall...

I had no issues with the hood, just propped it open at the opposite front corner of the side I was working on...

I am running floods on the outside and spots in the middle

The rest of the truck,
12" Engo spot in the middle and floods on the outside combo bar on the hawse fairlead, rigid dually d2 in wide in OEM bumper location, quad bi xenon headlights, and 41" roof rack bar

I haven't noticed a bit of difference with RI D2's installed at highway speed.

I love my brackets! I have flood lights on them right now as well as two floods down in the lower grill in the bumper. I want spots though as I just don't get any distance with these. I think I will do the dual light on the brackets as well.
Haven't had a single issue with wind noise from them and I've been up to 90mph. Easy to install, very strong, best $50 I ever spent!!

yes, amber and straight ahead (slightly downward since they're mounted high up). If I wanted to I could drive at night with just them,... check my album for an all amber night shot.

When you order the ditch light brackets, do both the passenger and driver side come as a package? Or are they 50$ a piece...because if thats the case i may not be interested.

I think mine make some noise. I hear some buffeting on the fwy. Considering alternate locations for the lights, whether I make mounts in the bumper or build a bumper or I dunno what...

I'm going to try to pull off a double light setup like @gshadow but I might have to do a little metal work, NBD.

I'm really picky about "clean" so if it looks like dookie I won't do it.

I received my CBI brackets for 5th gen today. It does not appear that they bolt to the lower hinge (and therefore no need to pull out the fender. Instead they attach to the upper hinge bolts (on the hood itself). Got them on easy. No need for a second person as I did them one bolt at a time and kept the hood in place. But it seems that I need to trim the cowl as when I close the hood the rear of the hood sticks up because the brackets are hitting the cowl. The brackets did not come with instructions but the instructions online confirm that I need to trim the cowl. see http://www.cbioffroadfab.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/5thGen-DLB-Install.pdf but the pick provided by CBI shows a huge hole trimmed from the cowl. My questions are these: 1) does anyone have pics of how much they actually had to trim from the cowl? and 2) Is there some good reason I should not put a hole in the cowl of a brand new truck? Thanks!
