reviving an old thread here to see if anyone who has the ditch light brackets, more specifically the offered switch from CBI, can comment.
Does anyone know if the optional switch CBI offers fits in our blanks? i don't want to buy a switch that won't fit..

I think you may run out of space on the bracket to mount both of those particular lights without extending the real estate somehow. I like those round spots though. I should have drilled mine to accommodate a second pair before installing them.
Cant access hood hinge
Does anyone know how many fender bolts there is total for each fender to be able to access the hinge? I took all the bolts out shown in the install instructions and I still can not get the fender to pull back enough to access the hinge. Is there something I am just missing or what?

I had to pull mine out and put something back there to hold it out while I was installing them. Was a PITA, but so worth it in the end.
What did you have to pull out, the fender? and what did you use to hold it back? Because my problem is I can't get the fender to even pull back far enough to get to the hinge at all.
I had to lift the inside lip of it with my fingers if I remember right. Then I used a ratchet or screwdriver to keep it from slipping back in place. Was a PITA too. Was scared I was going to bend something.

How did you get the fender out? Just got my brackets yesterday and having a helluva a time getting the rear bolt to line up. Mainly cuz I can't get the fender out far enough. I even took the bolt out inside the door jam by the door hinge (which doesn't show that on the install sheet). I'm thinking it may be easier to remove the entire fender. After an hour, I had to give up due to the darkness and mosquitos moving in.
Haha I had the same problem but in the end it took three of us to muscle that fender back and wiggle a wrench in there and eventually got it, its a PITA like the other guy said but it ended boiling down to muscling it out.

Easy Install of CBI Ditch Bracket
After a frustrating first half, and a little rain, and some sleep, I got this figured out. I used a ratchet strap. After you remove all the top fender bolts, make sure you get that little guy hidden by the door hinge under the rubber weather strip. Sorry, no pic of that. I also put the old crutch to use to support the hood when you take those two bolts out. This made it a true one-man job, 15 minutes per side.
Here you can see the extension in place.
I have two sets of lights, a pair of spots, shown here, and floods. Gotta drill the brackets out, should've done that before I bolted them in. Similar to gshadows.

Ive taken mine on and off a few times and honestly the best way to do it is to get an extra set of hands, makes things go much easier. They are actually about to come off again to get a fresh powder coat. The last time I coated them I had a problem with the powder and it didn't want to take the charge and stick. What do you guys think about trying to color match them to the pillars? its just an idea if I can find matching powder, I can always get some color matched powder though.
This is how I did it, pulled the fender up on top of the metal lip and it sat there the whole time, took me 30 minutes to install total.

I am running floods on the outside and spots in the middle
The rest of the truck,
12" Engo spot in the middle and floods on the outside combo bar on the hawse fairlead, rigid dually d2 in wide in OEM bumper location, quad bi xenon headlights, and 41" roof rack bar
How do you have two lights mounted? The pictures and instructions (http://www.cbioffroadfab.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/T4R4-DLB-Install.pdf) only seem to show three holes. Two for the upper fender bolts and one for mounting. Did you drill another one yourself?

I have a pretty bright LED bar on my bumper, but when driving on backroads at night, I can't see sh*t when there are switchbacks, so boy am I excited about these new ditch lights!
On an install note, I'm surprised that the past few posters ran into a difficult install. For me, it probably took about 15 minutes per side, but this was after watching this video multiple times - https://youtu.be/MPYCwl8zFx0
Things that I used to make the install easier:
- Remove all FOUR bolts (three on the side, one behind the door), plus the headlight screw
- Use 3,6, and 12 inch socket extensions (3" for the side fender bolts, 6" for the hood bolts, 12" for the bolt behind the door)
- When it comes to pulling the fender back, wear a pair of gloves and grab the inner lip between the middle and rear bolt near the hood bolts. The fender sits on a lip, so you need to pull up and back until the fender clears the lip. When this happens, it'll make a pretty obvious sound, so at that point you can actually let the fender rest on top of the lip and this will give you enough room for the rest of the install. No need to pull it completely off of the lip.
- If you care about your paint, use some painters tape to protect the edges of the hood and fender near the area where the brackets are installed
- Once the bracket is installed and you're about to tighten it down, push it back towards the window to give a little more clearance between the bracket and hood. Repeat on the other side.
That's it, and good luck!

Rago ditch lights brackets
HI, I know this is CBI brackets thread, but does anyone have Rago brackets installed in 4th gen? can't seem to find any good pictures of what that looks like, could any one share if have or point me to the site that has? from what I could observe on the Rago website, and based in 5th gen, Ragos are sitting to much in, and blocking some of the windshield. Any input?

Rago builds an awful product. I would just buy the original cbi brackets.
