Over a year. The bushings were worn, more so on the outsides. I still need to do the uniballs. I'll do them when I replace the front diff seals shortly.

Glad my California "winters" aren't as harsh as your NY ones. Hopefully go more then a year before replacing bushings and uniballs.
Also get some paint on those welds (or is it the photo only) on the cam tabs or they will rust too.

Yeah, the winters up here are brutal on vehicles. It's not so much the snow but all of the chemicals that are put down on the roads. I painted them today along with rerouting my air line for the locker and diff breather. Somewhat of a productive day.

Worn Out Currie Johnny Joints 8/21/2016
More maintenance yet again. The Johnny Joint rod ends had worn out on the Metal Tech rear end links after close to 5 years or so. I have the 4 new Currie Johnny Joints and will be replacing them shortly. Just a video documenting this issue.

CA is so much easier on ours. Mine pretty much look brand new still in comparison. I've no doubt the nice dry West is easier for us to stay that way. Grease stays put, dry lube keeps it all clean and without the squeaks too.

Hear that, right! Gees I swear they use stuff specifically designed to trash the undercarriage. I hate that stuff as much as I hate mud.

Yea I was trying to meet my quota to post a thread on my 30k buyers guide (for personal reference and incase anyone else wanted it), but still I'm quite surprised at the aggro responses from others :faint2:. It was meant as a compliment, I didn't even think for a minute think it would be construed negatively, you whole lot are very capable at making mad wicked vehicles, the envy of any. I've never off-roaded my 4runner but it has been a strong and steady vehicle for me thus far, I don't particularly know someone would be offended if a stranger implied they were ready for something fun like zombie attacks.

fftopic:anyways, for penance, I just was fired from my career for having what I thought was a good technical conversations with new manager on the best ways to protect the lives of the people I was hired to protect... a few days later was unceremoniously walked out of place where I gave my all and gave up everything to be at. Didn't lie cheat or steal and worked with integrity. I would cry, but I suspect it hasn't hit me yet that my life has seemingly completely collapsed, with seemingly nothing left. In about a week I will have my things packed into a storage unit and will be for lack of better word, homeless. I was homeless when I was teenager and never wanted to go back to that. I never wanted any of this, I worked hard in my life to just have place to call home base, I lost friends family relationships along the way in pursuit to make the best of the cards dealt, climbed to the highest rung I would of thought only to have a pretty epic smackdown. Hopefully this will suffice as penance for my misinterpreted comments, punishment has been dealt. Its been a bad week.

I'll be happy when it's driving close to normal again. It's driving like dog shit even with the alignment. Scared the shit out of me on the highway yesterday. I need to replace a front diff/cv seal, replace the lower uniballs(loud creaking when steering) and replace all of the Johnny Joints in the rear.

Body Mount Chop 9/8/2016
Finally got around to cutting the other body mount and reworked the first one I did a couple weeks ago. I'll eventually box them in.
Replaced lower control arm uniballs and packed the inner tie rods with grease. It was bone dry inside. For now it seems to be alright with no hideous noises coming from the steering rack.

Wheels and Tires 9/11/2016
Installed my second set of Countersteers from FN Wheels with (5)Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ P3 in 315/70/17 - 34.6". Using one of the previous wheels as the spare. Picked the one in the best condition and sanded out a lot of the rock rash around the lip.
