Dude the rims look really good painted! Makes me want to get off my lazy ass and paint mine, the plastidip is fading fast and I don't want to keep touching it up all the time. Good work man!

IMO, the red accents look good. I'm watching Transformers 3 on TV while typing this, makes me think about it looking like a Deceptacon ready to transform......rawr. lol.

how are the 285's on stock gearing ? assuming you have same as i do - 4.30 on elocker limited 4x4 v6.

just curious about it. thought about 285's or maybe a little bigger. That is when i get a lift of course lol.

Oh and do you do any hauling? How does the truck do now compared to after lift vs stock.

Hey BOOMER the 285's work fine with stock gears (4.30's) -any bigger you may want to regear, I've noticed minor differences with this tire size, however there is still plenty of power, MPG's are slightly worse if anything.

I've only towed my bro's car with a car dolly once, and it did fine, and my 2 Go-cart buggies (Dingos) on a small trailer every so often. Much better with a lift vs stock for sure, the handling feels safer and no ugly rear sag either.

*All this snow (or lack there of) is around Huntington Lake at Coyote Sno-park (1 hr N/E of Fresno) . Even at 7000+ ft. the snow was sparce, the snow-levels are freakishly low!! The only good place to find the white stuff is on the North side of the mountains around here...

-I sure hope we get some more snow/rain soon!

Added More LED's recently...

Well i guess i should have done more research before buying these but i guess it's going to be another learning experience with my 4R. :suspicious:

The (3) #194's led bulbs i got were single bulb leds, so i got really bad hotspots in my gauge cluster. Did not illuminate my gauges very well at all. So i ordered some better leds (smd-5) with 5 lights built in 1 bulb, so that would be 15 leds all together illuminating the gauge. hopefully this should fix my issue.

Also got some #74's for the ignition ring, turn signals, glove box, etc. Which worked great with the single bulb leds.

Next (when i get some time) will be the shifter lights, and AC controls, and rear license plate lights.

This project was not a total loss, taking apart the dash was actually easy, and i got to take off the plastic shield from the gauge cluster and clean up all the dust that's been collecting for the past 15+ years. :eyebrows:

Still need to get to the 2 map lights and passenger vanity light (for my wife)

*the last pic are the new one's i ordered, should get them in the mail in a couple of days since the seller is located in CA.

Finally got some time yesterday, finished up the gauge cluster (again) put in 5-way LED's this time, much better results, no more hot spots.

Also did the rear license plate with the left over LED's (194's) that i pulled from dash. Hopefully I'll get some more time to switch out the shifter and AC lights.

Took the Rig in to get an alignment, here's the specs-

Also had a tire go out of balance, so got that fixed too (for free)...

:wof: Best of all I was charged nothing at all!! :wof:

The guy said my alignment was barely off, and said they only made a quick adjustment. And said not to worry about-

still can't believe I wasn't charged a penny... got to love honest people.

I'll be going here from now on! :clap2:

couple of updates...

-I recently found a Rola roof rack w/extension (approx 68" long) on craigslist for $100. Not a bad deal in my opinion, also came with some crossbars and a cargo-net. The only bad thing is it has some minor rust inside, so the plan is to re-paint it and I'm going to use some clear sealant to waterproof the joints. I'm also going to take it to my local dude to weld the joints together, he quoted me $20 bucks to do it.

-Also got some new lights in the mail the other day, ordered them from Amazon for $40, they are 4" 27w LED cree/genssi 60* flood lights. I'm sure they will be much brighter than the fog lights I currently have.

-I hope I get some time this week to install them.

Decided to mount em' up on the bumper, I'm really pleased with the way it turned out! And yes, the light output is awesome... much better than my old cheapies. :gun5:

They look good man, have you thought about doing a light coat of tint, (VHT NiteShade) to blend them in with the grill? You wouldn't lose much in light output and they would match up with the dark front end you have now. Either way, nice job.

Hey Nate check it out! thanks for the idea, the lights are still nice & bright too, even in the day. LOOKS SICK!

I should have tinted them before mounting and wiring, so I just got crazy masking them off with old super-tuner magazines pages and frog tape. Ha!! Looks funny! :bravo:
