Incline-o-meter aka tilt gauge*

JUST ORDERED THESE FROM AMAZON FOR ONLY $12 EACH.

*GOT 2, ONE FOR THE DASH, & THE OTHER FOR THE DOOR, SHOULD BE A USEFUL TOOL OUT ON THE TRAIL. I'VE ALWAYS WONDERED HOW MY CAMBER/PITCH ANGLES WERE.

I LIKE LOW-TECH & RELIABLE THINGS!!

CenCalifoothill15, that's a nice rig man.

I like what you've done with it so far, simple and clean. Also, it looks like some other builds on the forum have influenced yours already (I'm thinking of blcktpgsr, and brianSD_42). That's a good thing, because there are alot of rigs done right on here.

Keep up the good work! Picture/build threads are all good... we like seeing 4Runners getting used & enjoyed just as much as getting built.

BigFishAllDay-Thanks man, I appreciate the compliment! And congrats to you for being Truck of the month!! That's definitely something to be proud of! I have used this site countless times, and have gained emense knowledge here, including getting to meet & wheel with great peeps.

*Lots of mods in my wish list, many cool rigs to Look up to here on T4R.ORG! definitely have been influenced by many top runners here*

Your Threads/Links are Legendary man! I've checked out many threads here & few can compare. Love your Rigs!

Painted the rear Wind Deflector & rear top brake lens today

*Finally got some time to paint my rear wind deflector/fairing. I got a can of Rustoleum Hammered Black paint and did about 4 good coats, I already had a TRD emblem on my wind deflector so i just painted over it to see how it would look. the Hammered Black stands out against my Black 4R.

*I smoked the rear top brake lens, with Rustoleum "Custom Shop" black matte paint, the brake light is still nice & bright for night drivng, and good enough for day time driving. Also painted all screws with 2 coats. another simple inexpensive mod!

:wink2:

mounted my tilt-gauges

Finally got the pair of tilt-gauges I ordered and mounted both today as well, 1 on the dash, and the other on the drivers side pillar. Can't wait to see my pitch/camber angles on the trails...

Also mounted a small compass for the hell it in my gauge cluster. this little thing works pretty good! another low-tech item that performs!

I noticed that the plasti-dip was starting to peel on my rear 4R badge, so took it all off, my wife walked out while i was peeling it off and said she likes it chrome...? But i think i'll just paint it Black again... hmmm?

:argue:

leave it chrome or????

STRETCHING ITS LEGS! new pics

black. Why stop now!
**thanks for the encourgement Slow_T4R & tx4r3g!! Black it is!! I will paint it back soon... :thumb:

So its been almost 2 weeks since my poor 4R has been sitting in the garage , took it around the block and streched it's legs this morning. decided to test my tilt-guages on the driveway way with some car ramps i have, and the most i was able to achive was 10 degrees of side to side tilt, and max was 5 degrees incline. Again this was just a "test-trial" on the driveway. So we shall soon see what i could achive on some trails with "live action" results. Sorry nothing exciting, but i did get some good shots...

thanks for checking out my Rig!
