I'm going to change the fluid in the diffs. I got this info from the online manual.
The front and rear (non limited slip in the Limited correct?) take "Toyota Genuine Differential gear oil LT 75W-85 GL-5 or equivalent"
The "Transfer Case" for full time 4 wheel drive vehicles take "SAE 75W Toyota Genuine Transfer Gear oil LF" and it listed the part time 4 wheel drive with a different fluid.
I had my parts department call over to Toyota to get me fluid and crush washers for the drain and fill plugs and they had no idea what that transfer case fluid was. They claim they have 80/90 in bulk and that's what they use in all of the boxes on all of the models.
I talked to another dealer that I ordered my wheels from and they also said they use the same 75W fluid in all of the boxes.
Why is the Toyota manual recommending a fluid their own dealers don't seem to be at all familiar with? What have you guys used (again specifically talking about full time 4WD center diff)?
