Center differential stay locked?

If the center differential is locked and you pull into a parking space, then turn off the engine. When you come back to the vehicle and start it up, does the center differential stay locked?

Yes. Found this out while offroading. Also will stay in 4WD after turning engine off... I haven't tried with 4LO but I'd wager it is the same behavior.

Well considering you have to be in neutral than I don't think it would change.

Neutral has nothing to do with locking the center differential.

Thanks for letting my know, I was worried about this because sometimes I have to pull into really deep snow filled lots, go inside for a while. Come back out and find the vehicle buried even deeper in snow.

My bad I never said what I was talking about. I was talking about what
sharp4runr said about 4LO, and yes it does indeed locked (the center diff) when the car is turned off, I also found this out when i was in a parking lot.
