Changing blown speakers

Hi all,
After looking for roughly 4 days I give up and have to ask. Has anyone changed out the factory door speakers in a JBL Synthesis system? the 6x9's are blown and I just want to replace them with a set of aftermarket speakers(like kicker or pioneer). Will there be any issues? I am not a stereo guy and just don't want my speakers to crackel anymore so I'm not looking for anything special and the info on the JBL system confuses me. Any help will be greatly apprecitated.
Thanks,
Matt

I used alpine type s 3 ways for the front door, 6x9
alpine type s 6.5 for the read (2 way)

audiobahn 1" dome tweeters
3.5" infinity reference in the center channel (will be going in this week)
JL sub/amp combo

sounds fantastic

Cool thanks, Is a 3.5" the direct fit for the cent in the dash? Also I am assuming my speakers are blown. The 6x9s and sub crackel and generally sound like crap at all volumes but they look fine I can see no damage to them. All the other speakers sound fine.

not at all haha

lot of cuttin

I replaced all my speakers in my 03 Sport with the JBL with aftermarket speakers, I'm actually selling a set of 6x9 and 6.5" Alpine Type-S speakers that I ran on the stock JBL amp that work great as oem replacements, let me know if you'd be interested.

zopperman can vouch for me also, I just sold him the audiobahn tweeters and infinity 3.5"

Take note of the bracket/adapter in his pics. You might need to buy or make some if you plan to install the speakers yourself depending on your skill level. I got mine from Ebay.

Actually, the 6.5's are in the stock mounts, I did buy 6x9 adapters, but you can actually remove the 6x9's and reuse the stock mounts for those too for JBL speakers, they're screwed down and held on with double sided tape
