Cheap Ebay UCA's

Cheap Ebay UCA's, Rear Links ETC...

I recently came across this seller "lift.option" on ebay that is selling a number of products for 3rd gens:
Uni ball UCA's $270
Adjustable Rear Control arm set $400
Sway bar drop $25
Diff Drop $20


The UCA's
According to ebay 9 of the UCA sets have been sold and 4 of the rear control arm sets have sold. This seller makes these for many other vehicles, they appear to be cheaply made, probably chinese in origin. But the seller has over 5500 transactions and 99.4% positive feedback.

Is anyone running these!?

To anyone thinking of buying these I would proceed with caution, I am not in anyway endorsing the use of these parts!! They may be fine but they could also suck balls and fail resulting in injury, death, pregnancy, or even in some extreme cases a vote for hillary :doh:

I just asked the seller where the materials are from and where they are made. I'll post the answer here [emoji106]

look for Eric West on facebook, he bought some. hes avatar pic has him holding a gun or something. theres positives reviews in there and advice.

Eric West turns out to be a very popular name, I wasn't able to find him but its good to know someone is using them and has had decent experience with them! Thanks for the info

Pretty much all the ebay UCA's are made by the same china manufacture but will be different colors. Usually the issue is the UCA spacers are to small and dont fit into the control arms like they should.

I remember someone having these and only replacing the uniball/spacer part and keeping the arm. And it was still cheaper then let's say allpro.

And those rear UCA and LCA look good. But no point of really having adjustable honestly.
 
There is a very comprehensive discussion about these control arms in the 4th gen section. Just search for"ebay control arms" and you'll find the thread. Apparently these actually work, however people have had to make small tweaks to them like trimming down the included bushings.

When my tax return comes in I'm picking me up a set of these and will have a comprehensive review. My UCA bushings are in a bad way..

There is a gusset already on the bushing side if you look closely. I don't think even camburg or total chaos has gusset on the uniball part. I got BUILT RIGHT UCA and gusset only on bushing side.
 
I'll point out the issue with these. If you look at the 4 bushings with the sleeves in them. You notice how the sleeves do NOT extend to the end of the bushings? So when you go to tighten those up the outside of those bushings are going to rip off. You'll end up losing one per side after you tighten them up, and start driving with them. So if you buy them I'd make sure to replace those sleeves before you even mount them.
 
just got the upper control arms...will install soon. They are the blue ones that are up on Ebay now. Very good weight, quality feels good. I will report back once I install.
 
I'm all for saving money but would be too nervous using these. If a lot of members here were having success with these for many years I'd feel better about them. I would save my money, wait a few more months & buy the All-Pros.
 
now that more info comes up i remember my brother in law got scammed by a fab shop claiming they build theese!

anyone ever asked the tube wall size?
 
My issue with these ucas, AND the name brands (camburg, allpro, etc) are that the uniballs have no cover. In the Midwest or east I would think they would start rusting after just one winter. This is what happened to my heavy duty aftermarket sway bar links. I tried keeping them clean but it made no difference. After just one winter they were damaged from salt, sand, dirt, rocks, etc
 
my uniballs are a few months old, i took only 2-3 trips in the good winter days over here and they are already showing signs of rust, minor stains
