cheapest SAS???

ive seen the kits for sale that comes with everything to do a SAS and the cheapest one ive seen is $999. has anyone done it for cheap? just got different parts from diffferent places? what is the cheapest SAS u have heard of?

I think i did my old one for about $750. Just pieced it together, but no hack job's please.

I've seen some scary **** driving down the road, not to sure how it was driving but it was.

If its your first SAS, and you have to ask Qs like that, I say get the kit. And you still need other thing that are not included in the kit: 2 off the top of my head are gears and a drive shaft.

There are other things you can do to make is less expensive, such as running rear springs up front, making your own brackets etc.

Ive seen them done for free, Ive seen them cost as much as 3k. It all depends on your skill level and dedication.

Ill be going 3link next winter on my TR, estimated cost is about 2k.

What kit are you looking at? TG?

I don't know about the cheapest, but Marlin's is one of the better ones, AllPro OffRoad's also (the original).

i wasnt looking at doing it for awhile. just lookin at options. i can probly make a good deal of the brackets and such, my father said he waas gonna do it to his 88' truck and had all the part numbers of different things and the total price was down to just over 300. i will be getting a frame off of an 83 truck and was gonna make a trailer. leaving the front axle and i didnt know if i should keep it till i do the SAS "if i even do it" or just sell it. any ideas???

Well look at it this way, a solid front axle hasn't been made since 1985.
You need one if you plan a SAS now or in the future.
A solid frame is even harder to find.
You going to sell either to someone for $20?

i think he was being sarcastic. or atleast i hope he was. i can easily get $400 for it here. but i think i might hold onto it for now.... and SAS in the future. i mean who knows when ill get another.

i dont think marlin is selling sas swaps anymore. he has a link to all pro for lift kits and sas swaps
