CHECK-IN: Total Snowfalls

Checking in from Tucson here. So far, not a gotdayum drop of snow. Sunny skies and 87 degrees.

I'm not bragging, I'm in fear of my life come summertime. I'll trade any one of you right now for some cold weather!!!!

We got 6" in Raleigh NC....it was a bad time to have the 4runner down for a SAS. Took 4.5 hours to get home in my piece of crap Sonata....my commute is 5 miles!

the biggest part, everyone else 80%, then you 20%, then the vehicle, oh wait i was to save some % for the vehicle.

So true. In my town there were 130 something vehicle accidents when we had the first snowfall two weeks ago. Everyone was rushing home from work and trying to drive down roads they had no business being on.

First responders around here are required to attend every few years actually.

That would be some fun training. Down here they just slap snow tires on the rear and say good luck.

On a side note, I got out my snow blower and helped my neighbors.
I cleared eight drive ways, sidewalks and the streets in front of people's houses.

It's one way to meet your neighbors. I really didn't mind. I was glad I could help...
I didn't realize how much snow you guys get down along the mid-Atlantic states until joining this forum... and shocked you own a snow blower lol. It has been a terrible winter though.

We got the tail end of his storm. It started with a little bit of snow, say an inch or two, and then winds really picked up, warmed up to a high of close to 50F, poured rain for 24 hours and melted most of the snow we already had. More rain coming tonight.

Snow here is hit or miss... Some years we get little, like last year. Then we have years like this one where it snows weekly.
As for the snow blower, I'm getting too old to shovel! I honestly thought when I bought it, I'd hardly use it. Hopefully things will change for us as we're expecting temps in the upper-40's and 50's this week.

Too !@%%^&* much snow and too %$#%^& cold to go out and measure !

Seriously here in the "valley" it's been what the old timers call an "old fashion winter". Seems like if it's not snowing, it's below zero F.

Snow... what the hell is that?!? Two days ago it was 84 here and in our local "mountains" it was about 60. I WANT it to rain or snow or anything here,id be happy
:behindsofa:

I was in blowing rock NC yesterday and they were still getting a tiny bit of snow there. In Charlotte we got about 12inches but its mostly melted now.

HA! Sounds like MD these days! Crazy weather we've had. Can't believe I'm saying this but it's supposed to get above freezing tomorrow and I'm pretty excited!

You want snow, here!!! :caked: (I actually think that's a cake, but it's better than the rock throwing one....)
I feel your pain, but it's hard to empathize with 84* in February....

Nice lookin' rig!! It's crazy how much snow the "south" got this year.
The wife has agreed to move south in a few years and NC is on the list. But with the snow they're getting, that might not be far enough south!!
Although I know it doesn't know like that all the time, still...

HA! I'll check in with you in April and May when it's 65* and clear skies here!

I hear it gets pretty nasty out there, but you can always head to the mountains in the summer to help with hear. I think growing up in St. Louis, I'd take the high temps and dry heat over the oven St. Louis is from May through September...
