Check it out LE 20's on 4th gen

I just installed the Toytec Ultimate to my '11 LE and sold my factory 20's to my brother in law who has a 4th gen. I'm sure this isn't the first 4th gen to end up with these wheels but if you ask me they look better on it than they did on mine.

Yup...does look good. I sold mine to a guy in SC with a black 4th gen and it looks good on his too.

Awesome! I'm glad they can be used by someone.. Wish they were a bit wider, I would've kept them.

Funny you say that, when I bolted them on his runner & saw how good they looked I started asking myself why I took them off mine. Then I remembered how narrow they were! I'm putting together all my picks from the Ultimate install & will post the improvements to mine soon.

Hey guys, reviving an old thread here but I have a question about this setup.

The factory tire size on the LE 20" is 245/60-20 which is 31.57" diameter.

I have a 4th gen SR5 (just like the one in the OP) that I want to put these 20" wheels on.

My question is...would I be ok with 31.57" diameter tires since my 265/70-16s are 30.61" diameter? A calculator on 1010 tire says that it is a 3.16% diameter variance. Is that safe? They say that it may cause brake failure but I'm not sure.

That said the 255/55-20 is pretty close to the 265/70-16 in overall size. 31.04" vs 30.61" Only a 1.43% diameter variance.

You'll probably get better advice over on the 4th gen forum, but I think it might be okay rubbing wise? I've seen 265/70R17 on a 4th gen without much issue (which is pretty close to the 245/60R20).

However, I don't think you're going to cause any brake failure with the larger diameter tires though, at worst you'll rub while turning. If you don't care about squeezing in a taller tire, why not just get the 255/55R20?

i'm sure you'll be fine.. worst case scenario you just have to do minimal trimming or level out the front

I've seen a guy around my area who did the same thing to his 4th gen. Looks pretty good.
