Checker Auto/Kragen Special.. NGK Iridium IX plugs $1.99

guys,

just looking online and saw that checker autoparts currently has NGK Iridium IX plugs onsale for $1.99. These plugs are normally like 9 bucks each. I suggest everyone go to www.cskauto.com and see if they have a location near them to purchase these plugs. I currently run them in mine and they have shown a marked inprovment over the stock denso and/or ngk plugs.

That is a very good deal on them - I run them on my bike and paid something like $8 each.

While I wouldn't say there is going to be an improvement in fuel economy or power, they should at the very least last sometime.

Casper, do you know th correct part number for the NGK Iridium IX plugs for the V6?

I do not know of a current application for the 1GR V6...

Im sure that they make a plug for it but the 2uz comes from the factory with iridium tipped plugs and hence we have to continue to run them.

im sure that some of the guys running SC kits on tacos and the like probably know the application.

Casper, are these the same as the stock iridiums? By your first quote they sound like they are different.

If these are direct replacements for the stock ones I will take a set for my V8 if you don't mind.

They are NOT the stock plugs...they are an upgraded performance plug that gives up some life in exchange for a little bit better performance.

Supposedly there is a price "error" with them and most checkers are not honoring the price but im going to see what i can do.

NO BUENO!!! I just headed over to my local store and found out that it was a MISPRINT. The actual ad in the store showed the sale price of $5.99/plug. Bummer, I was about to buy some too.

I faught my ass off with the checkers that i normally go to. they wanted the 5.99 as everyone else has stated.

Funny thing is that even at 5.99 they are still $3/plug cheaper than the OEM iridiums from toyota.

GAY! That's considered as false advertisement, or bait n switch. They need to honor the price they printed, period. My neighborhood Kragen is ran by a bunch of non English speaking Mexicans (no offence if your Mexican) anyway. I stopped going there a long time ago after they made me wait 15 mins at the cash register to buy a qt of oil. NO BUENO!
