Yeah, I got out the phone book, looked under auto shop, or muffler shop and called and got quotes.

Welp, my Vortex arrived in the mail today and I found a local shop that welded it on for an even $20. I was quite happy with that deal. 
It sounds awesome, just the right level of "deepness". Not so obnoxious that I'll wake the neighbors, but just loud enough that it'll make people look to see who that is driving down the road.

cherry bomb vortex sound nice on my 4th gen, i have it on my 4.0 v6 and all 3inch pipes in and out. same as there cat back system kit, 3inch in and out setup.

David- can you take a video and upload it to youtube from the outside? I also want some sort off muffler, but i dont want anything that is going to be really loud. Wo what your describing sounds like what i want.

Unfortunately I don't have any way of recording a video, not until I go back home for spring break where I'll have a good camera.
Judging from that video, I would say that mine isn't quite that loud. My roommate has Flowmaster 40's on his Dodge Ram 1500 and they're pretty effing obnoxious. Way too loud for my taste. I haven't really listened to my Vortex from the outside or had someone else do a drive-by in it so I can hear it from the outside, but it's perfect for me. It's certainly not as loud as a lot of other mufflers out there and I think it's just right.
Of course, it's all a matter of preference but if you're looking for something that isn't really loud and obnoxious, but still gives you a deeper sound and will make people notice you, then I would go with the Vortex. People will obviously be able to tell you have an aftermarket muffler when you drive by but they're not gonna be like "who the hell is that and why can I hear them coming from a 1/4 mile away?" Hope that helps somewhat.

man that totally sounds like just what i want. grrr i just want it to be friday already so i can cash my paycheck! hahaha.
and im in college too and i'm working 2 jobs, one to pay off bills for school and insrurace etc and one for some "fun" cash like for this muffler i'm going to be getting!
i cant believe i'm so excited for this dang muffler. hahaha

If I remember correctly, my Vortex got a little louder after a while.
