Ok the new to me T4R has had the rear child locks activated since we picked it up, but I can't release them. I checked the owners manual and the switch should just flip up but it doesn't. Anyone got any ideas, I'm sure it's going to be something simple lol.

This is not uncommon with our trucks.

Yeah!
Mine did the same thing and this thread got me on the right track. I figured out how to fix it without taking the lock assembly out...

Easy to fix- even easier to make it stick. It's not a design flaw- it just needs to be installed a certain way!

Sweet...hmm gotta take the door panels off, maybe since it's still under warranty I'll let the dealer do it lol.

Well took it to the dealer today and while its still under warranty they asked me if the panels had ever been off. I told them I just got it so I have had them off. They said, which you could tell its a common problems lol, if they get off the panels and see the cables have been adjusted already by someone other than them then I would have to pay labor. Since nothing showed up on a vin/service history check I would say no they havent been done but in the case it was....i didnt want to pay labor for them to adjust them so looks like at some point ill be doing it myself. Oh well, was just the tech wanting to get out of work I guess lol
