Before I bought the 4Runner, I had looked into mid- to late-90s LX450/470s and Land Cruisers. I ultimately found this 4Runner in excellent condition and with the e-locker and multi-mode. It was only a couple of miles from the house and I was able to negotiate a great price and paid in cash. The LC/LXs are awesome, but they're a bit more expensive and guzzle a bit more gas, especially as a DD. Maybe someday I'll look in that direction again.

I changed my oil last weekend. That's pretty much all I've done to it in the past year. On Thursday I will have a one year old. In January, my wife lost her job and we decided it was best fit her to just stay home with the baby. The 4Runner, then, took a backseat. Our goal now is to pay off our mortgage as soon as possible (maybe 4 years from now... fingers crossed) and then I'll be able to dedicate more to the 4Runner project.
