Thanks for the replies...I agree fourwd1...he said it was completely "stock" so I don't think he's done a thing to it....at 134K miles, I can see why...great talking points to get the price down....It's been on CL for a while now, it's way too much for down South here....I'll keep an eye on it and see if the price starts dropping....thxs again..!

If it has been babied all of its life, he should have the records to show all of the maintenance he has stayed on top of...if no records.....I wouldn't touch his asking price.

Tough Crowd

Price & value are a function of supply & demand. I'm thinking this would be a 2nd vehicle for someone that wants to play on the weekends as opposed to someone looking for a daily driver. It's kind of basic, if you can find a nicer one for less and it is equipped how you like it, buy it. If this one fits the bill, check it out.

Thoughts on my find?

I'm looking to get back into a 4th gen after having 2 5th gens, one 4th gen and currently a gx460. I found a 2005 SR5 v8 that's VERY clean, bone stock and has 65k miles. He's asking 15k and I'm curious on your thoughts about that price.

Thanks,Derrick

First why are you switching back to 4th gen with those list of former cars.
In regards to the one you listed that seems suspicious at those miles and price. Ask for more details and run the vin on the toyota website for history on the vehicle.

Good question. I had a 2010 sr5 that I upgraded to a 2012 limited and then my current 2013 GX that I only bought because of the v8 to pull a boat and hardly drive (7k miles in just over 2 years) It's time to get rid of that for a 4th gen v8 and a car for commuting.

I've been looking for a 2005-2009 clean v8 for 3 months now that I can do what I want to. You think that price is suspicious because it's too low? Can I get the same info on the Toyota site as I would with a carfax?

Toyota website will show..IF they did any maintenance at the dealership it will appear in the report, and you can see any outstanding recalls if there are any in the vehicle.
