Class action suit check

Got one for 174 bucks.

That's a lot.

Never agreed to participate in any suit.

Is it because I owned 2 Toyotas over the time of the lawsuit?

$62 here

Not sure which it applied to though
2006 tundra - bought from dealer
1997 4Runner - individual
2006 4Runner - individual

The paperwork was dated prior to my recent 2015 4Runner purchase so couldn't apply to it.

Friend of mine got one for $30, he has an 07 Corolla he bought used in 08. He said it noted somewhere it was for the unintended acceleration case.

A lot of you appear to have not done anything in particular to receive the settlement. How do they know where you live?

$29.XX for me. I'm assuming it's for my 2008 that I bought used from a dealership, since it has the shaved-off acceleration pedal. But I also had a 2002 that I bought used.

A friend of mine received one for around $300 for his wife's 2012(?) Highlander Hybrid.

I got a check for $18. I had a 2005 4Runner that was totaled in 2010. My wife had a camry in 2008-2010 but my name was not on that title. That car was a piece of shit. It had the acceleration issue. I couldn't believe they tried to blame the floor mats! Ridiculous and insulting.

Anywho...I must assume that it was for my 2005 4Runner (?).

I think it depends on how many new threads you start for subjects that have already been discussed.

I'm just kidding man:p, I like a lot of your posts.

I just thought it weird to hear friends who have Toyotas say how they'll put their name in on the class action suit, hope Toyota goes out of business for this "injustice" then getting their payout months ago.

I didn't agree to anything and got a bigger check a few days ago.

I'm guessing that since I've had 3 Toyotas over the course of the last few years and at least 2 were probably MY involved in the suit.

Oh, well... free ammo.

What the hell I've haven't received s**t and I had my Fj for 7 years. I guess it wasn't a problem vehicle.

Not positive on this, but I had the impression it was based on selling a toyota during a specific time period when resale values were substantially lower, due to the "safety issues".

mine was $48 and i bought my 13 tacoma 4x4 used from a private party in which the truck was originally purchased in hawaii and i picked it up in san diego and somehow they got my po box address. thought it was suspicious at first but it cleared.

Huh yeah maybe. Oh well I'll always buy toyotas regardless, I think it was all government propaganda to knock them off the number 1 pedestal and spark American car sales.

Mine was for $29. The check cleared as well. I've owned three Toyotas.

2007 Matrix
2011 4Runner
2013 4Runner
