Clay Bar n waxed the truck yesterday...[pics]

Nice day out decided to clay bar the truck then put a nice fresh coat of wax on it.

Pep Boys...dunno if u have um in Canada. Just like a normal auto supply store. It was the biggest size they had there...ran like $45

Nah, i think its actually bigger than the OEM one. Its got a bit of a slant to the end of it too...i think the OEM is straight up and down on the end...not 100% sure tho

The rig looks nice. I last did mine in October with Zaino and the shine still looks pretty damned good. The exhaust tip looks pretty decent but I think it looks a little big, but that could be just the angle. I'd have to see it in person to truly decide.

I will be doing my Runnah in a few weeks. Work has me putting that little task off for a few.

I like the 4Runner in white, but I wish they offered the 4Runner in the Blizzard Pearl color. It is an especially nice-looking color that stands out differently than the Super White.

Looks good. What's the point of the clay bar? Does it just remove old wax build-up? The owner's manual says to wax the truck 1 X per month and I've been trying to keep that up but it seems like overkill.

Yeah it removes all the old waxes, oils, impurities and whatnot from the paint. takes it right back down to the clearcoat. feels like glass. my rig is 5 yrs old now and it feels as smooth as glass.

I use Meguiar's Clar Bay Kit. Its a little under 20 bucks. Meguiar's comes with everything you need. And the directions are right on the box. Extremely self explanitory and easy to do. Just make sure you do it in the shade or in a garage. I take my rig up to a local park and do it.

After you clay bar it, you will need to but I fresh coat of wax on it since your paint will be basically "bare" down to the clear coat. Makes the paint feel great.
