Clear bra/ wrapping sides?

I searched and outside of scouring countless Build threads, the terms are too ambiguous.

Has anyone here clear bra, or vinyl protected the sides of their vehicle?

I'm not lucky to be in the desert, I have shrubs, sticks, and thorns to navigate on every trail. And this truck is going off road!

I just don't want to the cement to take the brunt of the attack. Understandably the vinyl will still scratch and mark, but at least I can just peel and replace. Or give it off to the next owner with fresh paint for him to choose how to screw up.

Has anyone done this? If so, what exactly did you wrap? I have a quote for 3k to do full sides and headlights. But not sure if it's necessary etc.

Any help is appreciated.

You could try something like this - Road Wrap Paint Protection Film. It's temporary, so it could get expensive (and labor intensive) if you off-road a lot. And I wonder how well it would hold up to branches, etc. scratching against it. It's popular with the collector car crowd to prevent rock chips.

Thanks jhalko, yeah I installed clear bra on both sides and the entire front end. It's great! I don't have to worry about our "Colorado pinstripes ". You might want to shop around and make sure you get a film with a top coat. It will be more resistant to scratching but usually sacrifice film clarity, orange peel etc. There are films like Xpel Ultimate that will self heal smaller scratches, which is nice. Good luck!

We did ours in a matte 3m vinyl. Has taken it like a champ instead of the paint.
