Clicking noise after drive-belt change

I had my drive belt replaced last week with Toyota OEM one. I have 73k miles on this truck with the OEM belt. The mechanic was able to do this in about 10 minutes and said belt-tensioner would automatically adjust and tighten up the tension after the new belt was installed.

In the morning when I start my truck, I now notice a very audible clicking noise. I opened the hood and sounds like it is coming from the right-side (when facing the truck) where the belt-tensioner is located. Not 100% sure though.

The clicking noise goes away after a little bit when the engine is warmed up and the idle RPM has settled down a bit.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Was there some other adjustments to be made after installation was done?

Check the tensioner. Sounds like the belt is too losse and the tensioner can't tension it all the way, so it's flopping around a little while trying to keep it tight. I had the same thing happen on one of my trucks.

Well, I went back to the mechanic but by that time the clicking had stopped. He tightened the tensioner bolt a little bit. I will monitor it in the next few days and see if it has made any difference. Will keep you all posted.

Issue resolved!

Tightening the tensioner bolt has worked. The last few days, I checked to see if I can hear the clicking noise when I started up the truck every morning - and there has been no noise. I waited a few days to see if the noise comes back or not - so far so good - it hasn't. A bit of manual tightening did the trick.
