This clock continues to reset even when moving the grounds to an alternate location.
It continues to reset when I disconnect one ballast side vice versa, so this tells me its no particular side.
I tested the battery with a multimeter, and the battery does not show a drop of fluctuation when the lights turn off automatically or with the fob, so its not demonstrating a loss of voltage, or its so minute and quick the multimeter cannot read it.
I talked to some of the guys at Best Buy with the "Geek Squad" and they seemed to understand what has been occuring.
They recommed grounding both sides to the neg terminal on the battery or connecting a diode to each ground.
What are your thoughts people????

Well, I gotta tell you, its comfoting knowing someone else is experiencing this besides me.
Funny you ask, if I have worked on it.
I have taken multiple approaches and nothing has worked, it will still reset.
I have switched grounds on both sides, repositioned ballasts, checked fuses, recrimped power wires, unplugged each ballast, checked battery with multimeter on and turning off, turned stereo power off and it STILL resets!!!
I cannot solve this problem and it makes no sense to me. The only explanation I can come up with is the clock is somehow losing power for a brief second when the lights turn off with the key fob or automatically.
However, when I turn the lights of via the switch (with car off), it doesnt reset the clock, so figure that one out.

I think I am narrowing this down.
My clock has NOT reset in a long time.
Due to this recent finding, I surveyed the settings on everything and I noticed the fog lights were turned in the "ON" position.
When the fog light switch is turned in the "ON" position, my clock does NOT reset when the lights turn off automatically or w/ the fob.
When the fog light switch is turned in the "OFF" position, my clock will NOT reset itself when the lights turn off automatically or w/ the fob.
Using process of elimination, I was able to determine the foglight switch is somehow the culprit, or I should say the only indicator I can find that is playing a role in the resetting of the clock.
Now the only question is, WHY???
