Clueless on CEL

Pop little cover over tensioner off, if tensioner looks like it is way out, then the chain or something in that system is worn, tensioner picks up the slack and effectively rotates B1 out of time.
Pull the valve covers and roll the engine over to align the timing marks. Bet the passenger (B1) side is off just a hair. I have seen it several times in my shop on these 4.0's.
Remove the spark plugs and it will roll over easier

Old thread resurrection with a same problem. 2007 V6, 125k miles. Intermittent CEL that clears itself (I didn't reset it or whatever). No rough idle, starts fine. Code P0016. Just researching the threads before I go and sink $2k into the repairs. The problem seems to be pretty rear :(

Interesting. Mine has never reset itself. I always have to disconnect the battery for a few seconds.
