I recently had an Icon stage 3 suspension installed(from a reputable offroad mechanic) with 285/70/17 Duratracs on a 2015 TEP I bought in June. Everything was fine for 2 weeks. This weekend I went to Naches in WA and did some very mild trails, didnt even get out of 2WD. On the drive home I noticed a clunk/rattle that sounds like it coming from under the gas pedal. I can't figure out a rhyme or reason to it, but bumps/potholes seem to exacerbate it.
My research has led me to either a bolt being out of place or a bushing going bad on the suspension. However I can't see anything wacky.
I'm a youtube mechanic and live in a apartment so I'm still learning how all this stuff works.
Where is the first place all y'all pros would look for this noise? Is there a 'problem' bolt or bushing on this year/lift? I'm hoping it's something easy.
Second question: Would I be out of line to expect the mechanic to sort this out? Or am I on the hook for aftermarket suspension work?
Thanks!:wow:
