Loving your build so far! Just out of curiosity, what do you have up on your gobi rack behind the maxtrax? I have the same setup you have, but was wondering what im going to put back there (Storage boxes, etc).

So I'm the proud owner of a new TRD Premium as of this past Saturday. I've been lurking around trying to learn as much as I can. My question to you is: What led you to the Icon, specifically the Stage 3. I can't discern when to get off the 'stage train'; 1-7. Why was Stage 3 the one you chose?

I've always liked Icon, and one of the main reasons why, is the ease of making front height adjustments compared with other options.

I chose Stage 3 because I wanted the extended travel front coilovers, as well as the rear link arms for some added strength.....I didn't really want/need remote reservoir shocks that the upper stages include at this point. Hope that helps!

Second, kind of off topic question but just wondering what's the height of your garage door? I know its a weird question but just want to see if my 4runner will fit with inside my garage with a Gobi rack and yakima ski rack. Pretty much your set up. I am thinking about placing a order of the rack but I am worried that the truck will be too tall.

My garage at home & at work are both at 84 inches....so got lucky there....I don't have too much room to spare, maybe a couple of inches.

I got my tablet mount completed for now, thanks to the info from [MENTION=166904]TerraCrawler[/MENTION].

The only thing I did differently was using a longer arm, as well as using a Ram X-Grip holder...

Absolutely love your build and the Cement colour ! We have a new 18 4ROR and I’m looking at doing some of the same mods. Showed my wife your two Runners and she asked if that’s what we need to do ...trade in the GMC Sierra for another 4R ... could get interesting.

I've had a lot of fun the last few years with my white 2015 4Runner, and now my wife has taken over driving this one!......

We decided to sell my wife's Range Rover, so she is now driving our white 2015 4Runner (which she is very happy about). So we were looking to add another 4Runner, or a Land Cruiser to the garage....

I love Toyota 4X4's for a lot of different reasons (Reliable, very capable off road, they hold their value very well, good for vacations/snow skiing/camping trips, large aftermarket for upgrades/mods ect......)
I was able to locate/pick up a cement 2017 4Runner TRD Pro with about 700 miles on the clock back in October 2017.

A lot of the mods and/or accessories added so far, match up to how I have our 2015 set up... This is what has been done up to this point:

-Maxtrax mounted to the Gobi rack using Eezi-Awn K9 mounts

-Xenon Depot Philips 4300K HID's
-Philips Yellow LED Fogs
-Philips LED Interior
-Tablet mount
-Husky Mats

-Safari Snorkel (In the garage, Not yet installed)

Next on list: Front bumper/winch, storage/organization, RTT, RCI skids

I will use this thread for future trip pictures, and updates to the 4Runner.

I'm looking forward to getting out on the trails with the new one, and hopefully I'll be able to get my wife out there as well with hers!!

Yes..... I am very, very, sure. They are a tad taller than the 285 K02's sitting right next to them.....So yeah, 100% sure.

When I took the 4Runner home, the plastic bumper trim was resting against the Shrockworks bumper all the way around....no gap at all......I could hear noises due to this anytime the truck flexed a little....

I pulled off the plastic bumper trim, and marked with tape, the cut line....I cut another quarter of an inch off with a dremel, and it is perfect.....No secrets, other than you can always cut away additional plastic if needed, and the dremel/cutting wheel worked great!

Thanks man... Both of our 4Runners have basically the same suspension set-up. Both 4Runners are at the same height in the front. The cement sits about a 1/2'' lower in the rear due to the bumper/tire carrier ect.

Same coilovers, rear shocks, both have Icon UCA's, similar HD rear springs = Icon Overland (cement) vs Toytec Superflex HD ect (white)....
The white one does not have the rear link arms, but that makes no difference in the stance.

Clearance question.

Here you go CoolMax....Basically adapted the Eezi Awn K9 Maxtrax mount to the Gobi, along with using the Maxtrax mounting pins. I have about a quarter of an inch in clearance on both sides.

Out of Curiosity how much clearance do you have from the Gobi mesh to the bottom of the maxtrax? Also what is the width between the 2 Eezi Awn mounts? I’m trying to figure out if I would have enough clearance to still run my x2 3gal rotopax under the maxtrax with that mounting system. Thanks
