Cobra 18 WX ST II install ideas?

I recently acquired a new Cobra 18 WX ST II in a trade on craigslist. It came with a Wilson "little wil" antenna/magnetic base. It is approx. 7 inches wide and 2 inches tall, obviously bigger than a Cobra 19. I also have a new Cobra 19 and yes I know it would be an easier fit but I like the 18 WX ST II better due to the forward facing speaker, dual channel monitoring and the NOAA channels but need some input on where to mount it. I would like it to be easily removed due to the magnetic base/antenna.Anyone mounted a CB this size? I tried the search feature but nothing really obvious came up. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Fits perfectly in dash (assuming you have a 3rd gen). Only caveat is you need a 90° adapter fir antenna cable.

That looks really good! I like the location of the Scangauge as well. I hate to have to buy an aftermarket stereo to allow space for the CB right now ( hard to convince the wife on that one). I really would like an aftermarket head unit but there are some important mechanical/maintenance items that need done first. I would rather the mounting be more mobile so I could take the CB in and out. Thanks for the pic and reply.:yo:

I wouldnt have a full size cb mounted anywhere else. I had a different one mounted on the passenger side transmission hump and i hated it. You have a couple more options with the smaller ones like where my scangauge is, or under the steering wheel by the shin plastic but thats about it short of custom fabbing something on the headliner or something.

Just so happens im pulling out that headunit (pioneer deh p6200bt, couple yrs old) in that pic next week. If you want id let you have it, the HD radio add on module, new mic for hands free bt calling, new radio side wire harness remote control and ill even throw in the metra pocket piece for the second din slot, which is already "modified" to accept a scangauge, all for the low low price of say...$50? Your If youre interested.
