Coilover spring rate recommendations?

So I SHOULD be receiving my Shrockworks front bumper sometime before July and cannot decide on whether to upgrade my 550# king coils for 600's or 650's.

While I know adding a plate bumper at around 130#'s isn't going to do my cushiness any good, I'd still like to keep what I can get.

Can those of you that have gone through this provide any insight on your setup or previous experiences?

For reference, I have a heavy die hard battery, will have the bumper, and want to plan for a future winch.

I just had 700s put on my truck. I had to significantly increase the preload on my 550 once I had the bumper and winch installed. Together mine are slightly less weight than yours. That being said, I haven't driven mine yet. I pick it up in two days so I'll have more on that at that point. I also run full skids, dual batteries, beefy sliders and have the compressor in the engine bay. I'd say you will want at least the 650 springs.

Great! Sounds like your feedback will be just what I need. I'm in my phone so I can't see what your specs are but...what coilovers do you run?

Initial impression of spring rate- exactly what I was hoping for. I'll see after a bit of settling and wheeling, but I love it so far! Only a little less than 100 miles and going in for alignment in the AM since the guy I like to do it is in town and not where the lift was installed.

[MENTION=89562]bimrunner[/MENTION] please add a few more updates as time goes on. I am/have been looking at suspension (it seems like forever), trying to think 10 times & buy once. I too am a bit concerned about the extra weight I have accumulating in boxes in my garage.

Should be able to more after next week. Leaving for 1000 mile drive to Moab and wheeling for a week before going to Tahoe for another week. Should get a good feel for it. It does feel ideal at this point with all the weight I've added. Don't think I could possibly go any heavier... It will be completely loaded with 6 people and pulling my Thule cargo trailer for the trip. I'll give my feedback as I go.
 
I don't understand why some coilovers for the 4runner come with #550 coils when their Tacoma ones come with #600. I can't imagine a notable weight difference between the two from ends.

Regardless, for a plate number and a winch #700 seems to be the goto.
 
Just spoke at length with Nick at King and he recommended 650's for my application. He said the thing to keep in mind is that you still have AT LEAST 1" of usable travel at the shaft from ride height to full droop. otherwise you will get a harsh ride.

My guess is that is because more 4runner target market people like a floaty car-like ride versus truck ride. Idk though!
