I think it's going to be a slugfest. Always is. And whoever wins, Colorado has quietly snuck under the radar as a really solid team.

Colorado has come a long way from zero conference wins two years ago. I miss the state of Washington so I'll throw a toast to Hepar, Washington and 4Runners at kickoff

I like seeing them as well as the Utes doing good (but not too good). I remember there was quite a bit of talk when they were added as to why a couple of schools would want to join a conference just to be the schools that the others beat in sports.

Colorado has been flying under the radar this year; the last time they had CFB clout like this is the early to mid 90s, when I was in high school.
USC has regained dominance pretty quickly after an awful start. They just made UCLA look pathetic.
The Apple Cup should be a great one. If UW gets to meet Bama ultimately in the playoffs, and can strike quickly multiple times, they have a chance. It is a small chance though....

GINORMOUS GAME for the Dawgs. A lot of magical things have to happen for them to get back into the top four.
With a loss to either team, Michigan and Ohio could potentially swap places. Bama isn't going anywhere. That leaves Clemson and the Gamecocks. My money is on the Tigers.
The Dawgs need to take care of business in Pullman, if not they may give up both the Pac 12 and a chance to take a flight down to Tampa. Colorado has been pretty quiet until recent... Incredible weekend of football ahead of us.
Here's a photo taken last week (not by me) of our stadium from Lake Washington. Absolutely gorgeous setting. Surreal.

Huskies run away with an important victory
Looks like the Huskies are getting warmed up again. They needed this win and from the 1st qtr on they never let up. Embarrassed the Cougs in front of their fans with a resounding victory. I'm hoping for a big loss between Michigan and the Buckeye's tomorrow. If Michigan loses they should drop out of the top four.
Tigers and the Gamecocks should also be good game. Expecting a solid win for the Tigers. An upset there and a loss to either MI or Ohio would surely secure a spot for the Dawgs.
We can't expect to bring Bama or any of the other top ranked teams down to the one yard line and keep shutting them down with our defense. WSU had their opportunities to win this game but just couldn't convert or hold onto the football.
Another good weekend of football.

Washington definitely looked like it was clicking on all cylinders, thought WSU did shoot themselves in the foot more than once. I too am pulling for OSU, as much as I detest Myer.
Clemson should win, though against South Carolina one never knows. The fans spew more hatred for the other team, for more than the players do.

Bummer is no Joe Mathis on defense. For those who don't know, he is arguably the best defensive player on our team as well as one of the best D lineman in the country. He was a beast early this year and allowed us to get some serious pressure on qb's while only having to rush 4.

I was hoping that Michigan would win just to simplify things. But now I'm hoping that Washington can win the Pac-12 and that Penn State wins the Big-10. I think it is just what we need to show that 4 is not enough. There's going to be at least one well deserving team that will be left out (obviously hope that team is NOT the Huskies).
While 8 seems like the easy choice, I think you could argue that 6 is the best way to go. Give the top two teams an advantage and give them a bye for the first round of it.

I think this season is proof that 8 teams would be ideal. You could have all conference winners, a wildcard and in the event that you get a team like Western Michigan go undefeated, you could give them a shot to play against the big guns.
The Buckeyes have a better resume right now than the Huskies, but if the Huskies beat #9 Colorado who is on fire, it's a little harder to make that case.
The big ten was clearly the top conference this season mid way through with the Pac 10 coming on strong at the end with USC and Colorado. Now it's a mess and I expect some very unhappy Penn State/Wisc/OSU fans in the big ten after next weekend.
I'd like to see Alabama, Clemson, Washington and OSU because I honestly believe they are the top 4 teams and deserve to be the picks. (assuming 1-3 win their games).

Go Buffs! Been a long and painful prior 10 years for those of us who are old enough to remember the prior Colorado glory days (I was an undergrad in 1990 when CU was national champs). This season has already far exceeded expectations -- 10 and 2, all done with players from recruiting classes that averaged around 70th in rank. Best story in college football this year.
UW game on Friday is going to be tough though…

I am a groomsman in a friend's wedding this weekend. Who in their right mind schedules a wedding during CFB season? Save it for the Spring. Plus he has already been married once already.
Pulling for UW. Hopefully my Tigers will be able to replicate their success of this past weekend in the ACC Championship.

As a Western Michigan student, I cannot believe how good they are this year. Back in 2012 we went 1-11 hahaha.
I'm sure one of you guys from a big program will scoop up our coach soon enough though.

A friend of mine scheduled his wedding during a Seahawks game just to be a d*ck. He's a huge Colts fan and they were on a bye. I saw several guys watching the game on their phones during the wedding.

4. Penn State
I know UW is not going to be #2, but if everything the committee keeps saying is true, then I do feel that's where they belong. They say that conference titles matter, eye test matter, SOS matters and that each week is its own week (that the previous weeks rankings mean nothing). I know OSU is one of the best 4 teams, but to me not winning the Big-10 championship as well as losing head to head to the team that did is more important if you are going to go by what the committee keeps emphasizing.
And why I put UW over Clemson is purely on the eye test. UW's only hiccup was against USC. Pretty much every other game (outside of Utah) was a blowout while Clemson has had more than their share of close games as well as a loss to an unranked team. Combine that with how each performed in their conference title games and that to me puts them above Clemson.
Here's what I feel like it will be:
