Nice! I just checked again and I'm seeing a little over 2" on a fence railing in the open.

We were pretty bummed yesterday because they updated our forecast to just rain... but yeah its still coming down here too. Good stuff!

My wife has been seeing rain up at our house in CS, maybe snow when the temps drop.

Still stuck in Floriduh. Can't wait to see snow again.

The little we got in Aurora is melting. I'm hoping for either some sunshine today or the utility company to get power back on since it it went out 8 hours ago. Thehouse is getting chilly and I have family coming in from Hawaii in a couple hours. They're cold at 75° <LOL>

Nice.

My wife just finished raiding the REI for "cold weather" clothing. She's not used to it being 20 degrees in October.

Where in Hawaii? I'm from Oahu.

Looks like I'll be heading out there around christmas/ new years to visit my gf for her bday and then will be moving out in July. Want to move now, tired of GA, but need to pay down my tool accounts first, lol. Also was debating on buying a canoe just in case there are torrential downpours again, lol. (She came to visit last month for a week, funny thing it was while the flooding/rain happened).

Trail Run 10/12 Saturday

Thinking about doing a local trail run next Saturday 10/12.

Something like Rainbow Falls or China Wall or????

Any interest out there?

Anyone else tired of them parading these kids around for these Amendment 66 commercials? I'm ready to vote No and get this over with...

Florida may have voted for Barry, but it's still very much a red state.

Crap like this will bother us more than the local granola crunching Colorado folk.

I'm just hoping that the next round of State Rep recalls goes through and the purges continue.

I'm hoping to see a swing back to the right with the next election. I know that might be a little too optimistic, but I can hope... and vote. :usa:

It's a weird purple state.

From what I've gathered living and visiting here off and on for the last 20 years is that a lot of the socially progressive, granola munching recyclers may want your tax money to pay for their medical pot and have voted for Obama several times in both elections, but at the same time want to open carry a 44 and may be upset about shootings, but wouldn't give a damn to change gun laws about them, either.

I do prefer the much more redneck/mountain man North Colorado, and even Wyoming. Told the wife I may buy property up there when we get more established.

Wyoming and Montana were up for consideration for us too but I need to be relatively close to a big city that has a few players in my industry just in case. I need back-up plans.

As for the "granola-munchers" (lol never heard that before you posted it), I've been fairly pleased to see how conservative my area is. There are of course some noisy lefties, especially downtown and also within the schools. I'm hoping when 66 fails that shuts them up for a while. :yo:

Castle Rock, oddly, was where they tried to kick gun owners out of their apartments.

Stop by Pike's Peak brewery in Monument and get a growler of their beer, it's worth it.

I will add that to the list. We drove through monument in December on the way to Manitou Springs and don't remember seeing much for most of it. We need to make it down to Co Springs soon too... I hear they have a Cracker Barrel. :hungry:
