coltonbaxter31's build thread

Master crafts are good tires. I have the all terrain AXT's on my 00. About to swap them to the 99. My buddy had the MxT's on his 99 Limited and they weren't too loud and rode well on road but clawed through mud like you couldn't believe. Weren't too bad in snow either.

Do you have a picture of your buddy's 99 with the MxTs? I'm pretty sure I like them but I like Meaty looking tires. The tread depth is 19/32 on the MxTs and 18/32 on the duratracs so they are about the same. Now I'm leaning towards the MxTs since they are a bit cheaper and want a different look.

Thanks for the input [emoji1360]

That's the best picture I can find of it. They were pretty alright tires. If I needed Mudders I would probably get them over the duratracs. Better value I think.

So I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the 315/75R16 MxT's. Kept the same rim diameter because I decided to stay with the pro comps and possibly get some center caps and beadlock them.... The tires should be here within a week just in time for my birthday [emoji1303] HBD to me lol

Eager to hear your review on the tires. 35s will look great under there. Ever find a solution to the body lift/bumper gap?

Yeah I plan on welding the bumper on and high enough so it eliminates most of the gap. This will probably be a job once I get home on break for the summer

I had a couple of bulbs left so i put them in my climate control and in my ash tray. The ash tray looks pretty cool.

Meant to tell you about what I found about welding the bunker back into place, I got 3 quotes 350,120, and possibly under 20 bucks

35s are finally on

I love the tires so far. They are very quiet even at highway speeds

Only a little rubbing on the back of the front flares when I turn sharply on inclines. I just have to trim a little to fix that

Fixed the bumper gap for now with some 2-1/4" weather stripping.

I think it makes it look better then just having the gap there.

I like the weather stripping, makes it look much more clean. I wouldn't even bother modifying the bumper it came out so nice.

As for your photoshop... I personally love the silver and would choose it over black any day. In addition to the color I think your rig is exceptionally well done :cudos: But if black is what you like, and I had a black rig, I'd gladly trade you.

Thanks, and Yes I do agree it makes it look more clean with the weather stripping. I probably wouldn't paint it black since the paint on it now is still pretty nice. I would consider doing it if my paint started chipping or got cloudy
