Comparability question on rearview mirror

I'm interested in installing a auto dimming rear view mirror on my '11 sr5. Mine currently just has a regular mirror... Will it be plug and play? Or do I have to run wiring?

Also how easy is it to replace, any input is appreciated.

The wiring harnesses on the 5th Gens are specific to the factory options. If it came with the regular mirror, it won't be wired for the auto-dimming mirror. If the auto dimming mirror needs power, you'll have to supply it to the plug via a splice or a new fused power wire.

After having an auto dimming mirror in my last vehicle I knew my next one would have to have one as well. I knew I had to get a certain package to include this option though (which I wanted to have anyway). I'm sure those of us who wanted it made sure it happened from the start (from the factory). There are a lot of resources on here, specific parts manuals, repair guides, etc. which you should be able to pull up to see if said wires or harness exist.
