Compass Zone Setting On Upper Dash Display

So i was messing around with the upper display on the dash and i pressed and held the Mode button for a couple seconds and then this other information i've never seen came up. it said: Zone 06 .N so i was able to change the zones i believe it went from 1-15.. i'm pretty sure Maryland is in zone 18 from a quick search and that's not an option on the display so i'm thinking it might not have to do with the magnetic field. but i wouldn't be surprised if Toyota had their own zones for the magnetic field of where you are. I looked very hard on the internet for any info on it and i couldn't find anything. This is on my Trail in case it's any different.

That setting allows you to adjust the compass zone and calibrate your compass (which is needed since you have a "." before your cardinal direction).

I'm pretty sure we're in zone 11. If you bought used, your Trail may have been ported on the west coast earlier in it's life.

There should be something in your manual regarding this setting.
I know it's in mine. Don't have access to it currently so I can't give you the page......
 
Interesting, another learning moment with this forum. I bought mine in AZ before moving to CT. Will go take a look tomorrow.
