How's it going guys I am completely new to the Toyota, 4Runner, off roading and even SUVs. With that being said I do have a few questions. First off I don't have a T4R yet.....Im currently looking at a 3rd gen 1996 T4R limited with 198k on it and the guy wants $3k. After doing a little reading these thing seem to last into the mid 200's? When it comes down to it I am not opposed to rebuilding the engine....Id just like it to last a few winters before I actually need to. So other then knock and other obvious engine problems is there anything I should look for specifically when I go check it out? Secondly it looks like it could use some tires on it what would you guys recommend for a good winter setup that wont break the bank? I appreciate any and all help guys, really hoping to bring it home this weekend so I can put my car in storage once the snow shows up.
