Considering 5th gen..... Again!

I'd be curious as to opinions on how an LE's ride differs between stock 20's and 17's (preferably with P-rated).

I had a 2010 SR5 for 4 years and just picked up a Trail today. To be honest, I'd probably only need an SR5, but I'm a sucker for toys.

Well, at least I know it wasn't only in my head regarding how much better the trail handled than my 11 sr5. I dig the trail, but I drive a 14 ram 1500, so I better get the creature features for my wife rather than the additional off road features.
Just came across a 6k mile used 15 limited... How much less would you pay for it vs going with a new 16 to make it make sense?
Thanks for all ur folks input! Missed this site!

Test drove a 16 trail, and it seems better than I remember my sr5. This one did not have KDSS... Did they change suspension since 11? The steering seemed to track better too. My 11 sr5 seemed to wander and not hold a line very well which was really annoying on the road. Thing I wish the tp came with would be auto lights. It's 2016, is that too much to ask for?
I changed my suspension in the sr5 to bilstein 5100's. It did get better, but did not seem Much better.

Pretty sure auto lights is an option, at least my 2016 pro has them.

You guys seem alot more in tune with vehicles than me....
Whats a fair price for a used 2015 Ltd with 6000 miles? I would think first year depreciation would knock it down some, right?

Do you have the new vehicle window sticker (Monroney) with the MSRP for this 2015?

... OR ... can you figure the MSRP of a equivalent 2016? To compare, you can usually get 5% (low) to 10% (high) off MSRP on a new purchase.

So, compare that to what they want for the '15. In case you don't know, used 4Rs hold resale really well.

Don't mean to beat a dead horse, but how much less would you pay for a used 2015 limited (6k miles) vs a new 2016? Similarly equipped. Both have same dealer price... Prior to negotiations... Different dealerships.

I read post 35, the new one is about 5% off msrp. It appears the 15 4r limited takes about a 9800 depreciation hit on the first year. Of course dealership is gonna make 1/2 that back, so that gets back up to low 40 which is what I can get into a new untitled one at (not counting additional fees). I just don't know what I should offer.... Was thinking 39, but not sure 2k is enough savings to buy used

1. Can you afford the new one?

2. Are you willing to buy used IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT?

3. Assuming "yes", YOU (and not the internet) have to decide what that difference is, and STICK WITH IT. Let's use $4K. So, you go to the (used) guy, tell him "I can buy new for $42,000, so I'll give you $38,000 for this one". If he turns you down - walk. Quit jerking around ... soon one of them will be gone and you'll be right back here again.

Are you trading in? If you are that really mucks things up - dealers loooove that.
