Consolidated Rear bumper for 5TH Gens

Soooo, anything to update on the rollout ? Nothing on their website

If you've seen the photo of the bumper they posted, that's MY bumper.

I'll be getting the first one. As for a timetable for release, it's anyone's guess, hoping for december but I know they really want to get everything dialed before they start producing them for everyone else.

I know we'll probably go down, fit it, make some small changes.

Anyone else put on the Palfrey built yet? And the fact that SSO may still make a rear bumper is intriguing.

I'm wondering which bumpers also relocate the hitch giving a little better departure angle.

Lastly, anyone have any thoughts on the expedition one bumper?

Pelfrey's bumper isn't shipping yet, but this spring for sure. Photos of the non-swing arm version are out.

The swing arm one will be coming soon, and you'll see it on my build first. It's an amazing setup.

There's a provision for a jerry can on each swing arm, so 2 total, or you could do one jerry can and a power tank/propane, basically customize till you're blue in the face.

I have a question regarding the aluminum bumpers that offer a high clearance hitch.
With the bumpers being aluminum, I'm only assuming that the 5000lb towing capacity wouldn't be retained? Would I be right in guessing, that I'd be better off keeping the factory hitch to keep the factory towing capacity?

Yep. Aluminum bumpers don’t retain the original hitch rating. Not even close.

I know people keep asking me this, I understand people want a timeline, and I seriously can't provide that. As soon as it's ready I'll head down to Pelfreybilt. But the latch has been machined, now they need to re-do the arms to work with that latch.

Will the Pelfreybilt be a whole replacement or another cut and in half bumpers ???
