coolant system flush.....

hey guys, got my coolant flushed about a week ago at my local toy dealer, the coolant was green that they put in... i thought toyota coolant was red, no big deal....just wondering??

Both of mine have the redish/orange color type.
It sure isn't green.
Maybe the dealer has a special blind or something.
I'd give them a call.

What year is your 4Runner?

I have a 4th Generation 2007 4Runner & the cooland is red/pink.

I know for sure it runs Toyota Super Long Life Coolant.

Even friend's dad's Corolla runs a red/pink coolant. Toyota Long Life Coolant.

I don't know if other Generation 4Runners run the green coolant.

That is a shame that the dealer would use the wrong stuff. Just another reason for DIY. A coolant flush isnt really necessary (if that is what they really did anyhow) if you drain and fill every few years. When I do my 99 drain/refilling it takes 1 gallon red toyota coolant and one gallon distilled water. Havent tried it with the 07 yet.

Long life red (premix) is $19/gallon - the green stuff is $5! Even my 1990 had red anti-freeze.
