Cornfed 2/1 with FJ Cruiser springs w/pics

Yeah I definitely got a lift in the rear, and wasn't expecting it. My old cornfed install thread is missing stuff, so I don't have my initial measurements. Jason wants 150 for a 1/2in rear spacer. I figured, I would take out the black plastic spacer from my fronts, leaving the 1/2in silver spacer, which in theory whould give me an inch lift, taking me down to 35.5 for the front. If I take out the rear, I should be at 36in... so, in theory, I shouldn't need a rear spacer. I suppose I will take out the fronts and see wh leaves that leaves me. I don't want to toss 150 bucks, and I feel like it would be a waste to get a spacer any smaller than 1/2". There's an auto hobby center on base here, so I might see if they have a spring compressor and all that, cause it REALLY is a PITA to mess with the fronts.

I'm confused , so basically you will have an FJ spring in front with a 1" CF spacer and what are you taking out of the back , putting in , ect...

Correct, I have front and rear FJ Springs and a full Cornfed 2/1 installed. Its giving me slightly less than a 3/2, and pretty much completely level right now. The 2/1's front spacers consist of a silver spacer thats a .5", and a black plastic one that sits on top of the spring. Thats what I'm planning to take out of the 2/1, which will leave me with basically the same piece as a 1" leveling lift on the front struts. I have the rear 1" spacer installed as well, which I'm going to remove, and see how it looks. If the back is sagging, or where I want a little rake, I will purchase a .5" rear spacer from Jason, which he quoted me at $150.

im not trying to put anybody down for theyre decisions, but ,if you wanted a little lift + slightly firmer ride, (unless you have the x suspension) wouldnt it of been easier to just get adj. coilovers for the front ( set at the height you want) then either install new rear springs (for an in. or 2 more) or just install a small spacer? considering all the work hrs. &/or cost involved?(some of us are older than others) i find that the rear stock springs(which some guys think are firm enough already) combined with shocks that match the front, & airlift 1000 bags work well together. it is possible to get the toytec adj. CO for about 600,(which give a great ride) then bolt em in & set to what ya want.i have my ride height set at (of course different measurements on each side) about 36 frt, 37 rear, it works for me. hope things work out for everybody.

sorry, my bad. should of looked before i posted. i didnt notice you guys have & want to keep the xres. i had the stock sr5 suspension & it was like driving on marshmellows, so i had no choice but to change out. sorry again.

Did the FJ spring make that much of a positive difference that you want to keep them and and pull out the CF ??

So with me doing a 1" level kit and 4 FJ springs we will have the same set up ??
