I don't know how well you follow the forums. I'm sure you've read up on lifting with x-reas. But I'll state it anyway...

Do not disconnect the X-REAS lines.

Compress the front springs at the truck with the lines connected. I think I read you can disconnect lines if all 4 wheels are at full drop/in the air. But why risk it? I can't wait to see the pics and write up.

Yes, Cornfed is still doing the install at their shop in Portsmouth, VA. I have already expressed my concerns with him about the XREAS and will do so while there. I will be waiting while he does the install and possibly watching if he will allow it. I will throw myself in front of the truck if he attempts to disconnect the XREAS!:awais: I can't afford do replace the entire system. So, I will be letting you all know how it goes and posting some pics.

So I got my lift today!:rocker: Besides the fact that I got caught in a speed trap on the way up there it is wonderful!! The truck looks so much more aggessive, but not too out of place, if that makes any sense. The ride hasn't really changed all that much. I can tell that the center of gravity is a little higher, but I'm sure that I will learn to compensate for that not really notice in a short period of time.

The guys at Cornfed were very nice and very quick at getting the lift installed. They had it done in a little less than three hours! And the lift was made out of quality stuff. Aircraft quality aluminum. I don't think there should be too much sagging with that.

I'll have to get some pictures posted up later this week. My Runner has a 1/2 inch of pollen on it right now, bug guts, and it is supposed to rain the rest of the week here. So, I'll have to see what I can do.

Ha, ha! Yes, you are correct! However, as life goes, it has been quite hectic for me this week. In the midst of finishing up the building of a garage and trying to keep all the sub-contractors in line. And now I have to work tomorrow. Maybe I'll be able to take a few on Saturday even if the truck is still dirty. I won't let you guys down! I went and had it aligned yesterday--its driving like a dream. I love it more and more everyday.

No problem. Yesterday was the first time I washed my truck in a month. I usually wash it every week.

Did you go 3" front, 2.5" rear, or 3" all around?

So, I'm at work--so no pics today. They will only lift 2" in the back. He said he has had a request for a 2 1/2" in the back, but didn't feel comfortable with that. So I have 3" up front and the 2" in the back. It looks nice though--evens it out.

You mentioned that it changed your ride only a little bit. What little bit do you mean. I've heard it can stiffen the ride. Is there a difference in the stiffness of the ride when you use the aluminum versus the daystar polyurethane?

the stiffness is primarily a result of the preload. that's why the more you lift, the stiffer the ride will be.

Got my Cornfed lift put on today. They did the install out here in Virginia. 3" front, 2" rear. I'll have to drive it for a bit before I can pass judgement on any change in ride quality. I will take some pics most likely on Tuesday. How do I post pics here?

pricing: $350 for the lift and install, I think it is $250 just for the lift itself (maybe $275). Much less then the Revtek lift and around the same ballpark i think as daystar

Okay, I finally got off my butt and washed the Runner. Also put on my Jaos lights today. So here is the lift and the new lights.

I have heard a lot of good things about Cornfed and I like the fact that they are pragmatic (only 2" in the rear). It's a sign of people who know what they are doing and prefer not to put their customers at risk.

WOuld love to see the spacers as well? I believe it is a single piece design in the front and includes the preload and top spacer in one.
