Am I safe in assuming that a '99 limited front bumper would fit an '00 sport 4runner? These models are nearly identical, correct?

Make sure the fender flares are the same or transfer your old one to the new bumper.
There were 2 style's of 3rd Gen. Front bumpers:
The Nice one 96-98
And
THe Ugly One 99-02 (Also Known as Fat Lip)
