Crazy thig happened!!!!!

Just today I was off roaring when I realized my breaks wouldn't kick in not only that I put it on park after they did and my rpm were still going turned it off the engine was still running turned it back on and rpm s went back up scared the $&@) out of me drove it a little with my foot on the break then it stopped should I go get it checked or is that normal?

My engine was revved up as if I had my foot on the gas

Defiantly not normal. Check yoiur vacuum lines going from your break booster to the throttle body. Ive heard of the breaks making an engine have a looping idle, but bever heard it make the engine rev up.

IF you pressed on the breaks harder, would it rev up faster?

No it wouldn't.... I checked the throttle just now and everything seems fine I've driven it around and everything seems back to normal I just don't want to make sure that doesn't happen again
