When I got home today I got a letter from Toyota, Irving TX. I thought oh sh*t, what is this all about. Well, it is a ad for the 5th g 4Runner. "This is the story of 4 real people and 1 Real Suv. To watch the adventure unfold, visit www.toyota.com/5g4runner ". It is a 10 page ad saying 4Runners are cool.

Man, did someone screw up givng us Toyota owners letters about selling stuff, just when they are doing the biggest re-call in Toyota. What a bunch of jerks. It gave me a scare. :bash:

Hehehe... I get propagander from my local Toyota dealer all the time so I'm always relaxed opening that stuff up.

A few weeks ago I got a sales event flyer that actually said they will pay the orignal MSRP on any used vehcle for trade-in value! Of course it was a misprint, but I was pretty excited for a few minutes.

Should have brought your car there and forced them to follow, that is false advertising, you may have been able to win.

Those advertisments always have a small print disclaimer to protect the dealership from such mishaps.

The thing that through me off, it was in a official brown envelope and it was big. It had my name and then on the upper left, "Toyota Motor Sales, 1921 Gateway Drive, Irving, TX 75038". It also had a stamp that you stick on, not some junk e-mail advertisement looking mail.

I thought maybe Toyota was apologizing for their mess up. BUT, no buy a new 4Runner, because they are cool. They need to go back to sensitivity training 101.
