I'm just about to replace my dynamic tensioner with a new one and was wondering where do others position their cs144 alternator compared to the TRD instructions, which states to place the stock alternator in the middle of the bracket. I found that it was too loose and I adjusted it tighter, but I'm not sure if this is correct.
I bought a gauge to measure the tension which the instructions says it should be at 90 lbs. To get it to this, I've nearly maxed out the position of the alternator. Does this seem right for the upgraded cs144 alternator? Does the dynamic tensioner adjust accordingly or do I need to adjust the alternator?
When it was at idle and I would rev it, the belt would rubberband/vibrate in the middle. This was at the middle location on the bracket of the alternator, per the TRD instructions. Since I'm replacing it I want to make sure I have it in the right location.
Any input would be greatly appreciated as I couldnt find any answers by searching.
