Ha! Yeah, the Xterra did pretty good- it did have to get towed over the washout, the same one seen in the videos, but so did a few of the others . . . . .

Yeah, I had plans to go with the Revos, but thanks to Bobby and his great deal (and high peer-pressure skills ), I went with the Nittos. (Koz should get some credit too ). I LOVE them though- drive great on the road, dirt trails, snow, rain, etc. Just a little louder than stock tires, but not noticeable with the radio on.

There was an Xterra at Paragon when we went this summer and he did really well. It was highly modified though.

I was just worried you'd have problems with the Dunlops in the snow and you didn't need much prodding to get the new tires.

Good to hear you're happy with them. Road noise on the Revos were barely louder than the Dunlops and you can't really hear them unless you have all the windows down and the radio off. I figured the Nittos would be very similar.

I think they're both great tires. I have Revos too but I didn't know I could get Nittos cheaper. My next set will be Nittos.

The Nittos are much cheaper and thus a better value. I have a direct distributor that gives me great pricing on Nittos, Continental and a couple of other brands. That's how I gave Karl such a good deal on those Nittos.

I'm just messin' with ya. You just got some Revos. They're great tires. I have them too . I paid about $740usd for 5 Revos and that was just for the tires, no mount and balance. Most places won't install oversized tires and the places that do charge $20 or more per wheel/tire. Luckily, my bro-in-law has 3 shops (one of which I'm running now) so I did the mount and balance myself. Back then, I didn't know he could get Nittos.

I paid for my Revos Cdn800+Tax = US710 (4 tires). So it comes to Cdn920 = US820 on the hand. Why they cost so much

I had the Bridgestone dealer price match $137 from Costco that price matched TireRack. With tax, it came out to $148/tire.

I would think so. I have stock suspension and it handled it fine- like I said, I did better than most of the "mod" trucks that were there.
The snow can be a little rougher than usual because you can't see everything you are driving over. Also, you have to go a bit faster so you don't loose traction.

I screwed up my hitch cover and scratched the front bumper, but otherwise, no damage.

without "too much" damage? yes. you probably would come away with some scars (scratches on the paint, and front and rear bumpers).. but nothing major.

it was all about tires and throttle that day... not enough tire = stuck, not enough throttle = stuck, too much throttle = ruin the trail for those that follow you!!

Where'd you get your bull bar? Looks nice. I almost clipped a deer last night and would like a little extra protection. Not sure it would look good on my ride tho.

its a brush guard, not a bull bar... its by westin. was on it when i bought it.

if you want more protection, this is NOT the way to go... these cause more damage in front end collisions than they prevent.

youre looking for an aftermarket bumper, like a TJM or ARB.
