So I’ve been playing around with some ideas for a phone mount that mounts in the clock location for my own 4runner and I’m really happy with what I’ve come up with. The brackets are made from stainless steel, they are attached with 3M automotive trim tape, they angle the phone towards the driver, and I’ve been using mine for a couple months and could not live without it now.
I’ve made 2 versions so far, a spring loaded clamp style version (which I prefer) and a magnet version (which also works great but wouldn’t be very good off-road).
I decided to start selling them, so if you are interested just let me know which style you’d prefer, or if there’s a specific mount you’d like to integrate, and I’ll make it work. Price is $40 with either the clamp or magnet mount, or $20 for just the bracket if you’d like to integrate it yourself. If you supply the mount I will integrate it for free, so it’s just the $20 for the bracket. Shipping is $5 to anywhere in North America.
Available for both 96-98 and 99-02 4Runners, and for phones up to a 6" screen (approx 3.5" wide)
