Well my math may not be precise but I've checked the screws a number of times before putting the faring back together. I don't know the sheer weight, but my friend that weighs at least 200lbs if not more is able to get up there and practically dance but I think just about any application would break under the right conditions so far this one hadn't. This is a one off project. It's not perfect but it works for me and I'm only like 130.
And the the wiring for the lights run down a rubber channel on the left hand side of the truck. I found the channel at Home Depot, it's meant for hiding wires for your entertainment system and it's paintable, so far so good it's rained and been hit a number of times. And if I want to check the wires they're right there. I'm not sure if I the housing tho it's a little bulky but hardly noticeable I've got a couple other ideas to exhaust before I just drill. But drilling is what I was going to stay away from
