Custom 5th gen 4runner

Well my math may not be precise but I've checked the screws a number of times before putting the faring back together. I don't know the sheer weight, but my friend that weighs at least 200lbs if not more is able to get up there and practically dance but I think just about any application would break under the right conditions so far this one hadn't. This is a one off project. It's not perfect but it works for me and I'm only like 130.

And the the wiring for the lights run down a rubber channel on the left hand side of the truck. I found the channel at Home Depot, it's meant for hiding wires for your entertainment system and it's paintable, so far so good it's rained and been hit a number of times. And if I want to check the wires they're right there. I'm not sure if I the housing tho it's a little bulky but hardly noticeable I've got a couple other ideas to exhaust before I just drill. But drilling is what I was going to stay away from

lol, I was just kind of messing with you, personally, I think it might be best to take it apart again and support the back side with another piece of steel or at least some fat washers to distribute the load across the body sheet metal; and then bolt it together with a nut and bolt. Those sheet metal screws into thin sheet metal are just asking for trouble...I'd hate to see them pull out at the worst possible time and you fall flat on your behind :(
 
this thread is about your rig.... dont get all butt hurt when you get feedback on a public forum. The wire channel is pretty ghetto, sorry if I hurt your feelings. You have some quality gear there I like it but would just opt for a cleaner install and scrap the walmart crap magnet mods like LEDs under the headlights.... front emblem is pretty cool though:thumb3:
 
I can take it apart one of these days and take some pics. I think everyone is a little confused how I did it. But everything I've used is stainless bulky and still holding. It's got 4 bolts under the faring drilled into the top of the hatch and 2 at the bottom thru the hatch door with bolts holding it on the other side.
