Question:
Upon installing my 2" body lift, do I need steering extension?

I am 2wd, I know I need to loosen the tranny rod, but I've heard I don't new a fan drop. So will I need a steering extension?? I'm gonna fab up a bracket for the bumper.

And it's custom so there are no confusing instructions to follow like 4crawlers site :boink:

You will need a steering extension. As far as the radiator, you will either need to lower it (2") or remove the bottom of the fan shroud (removing the shroud can reduce the slow moving cooling since there is a big gap at top and nothing at the bottom for the fan to suck against).

Why? The Toytec 2" body lift isn't that expensive and there is no "confusing" website. It comes with the steering extension, radiator drop brackets, and spacers and hardware.

that is true and i did that, had to so extension on my 4wd, but i never did figure out that d**n rad drop, then i found out the bottom of the shroud comes out and have yet to have a problem

Cause if I fab it up my self it's freeeeeee. And really have zero cash to spend (I am also a making 3" spacer lift)

I made one myself but it wasn't free. I had to buy longer bolts and washers.

I am going to stuff 37"s under my Tacoma. So I will be making a 3" Body lift also, to get some clearance.

Never heard about 37"s on here , didn't know they existed o.O

And for the extension, I heard if i get the old bolts from the body (longer ones replaced them) I would be fine with them and a solid aluminum spacer. Ehh?
