Custom Fender Liner?

So I cut my front fender liner to prevent rubbing after my lift. Now I feel that I may have cut too much and it doesn't look very good with everything exposed. I looked at replacing it but the fender liner piece is about $80 for each side from the stealership.

I want to cover everything back up but don't want to pay that much for new fender liners.

My question is, has anyone made any custom fender liners and if so, what type of material did they use?

$88 isn't bad, showing $117 is list. I know a few have fabbed some of the wheel well engine covers from trash cans and cheap rubber floor mats but I haven't seen liners done. You should be the first and do a write-up.

yeah, 88 is still about 68 more than I want to spend for some plastic...

I'll try to pick some up from home depot and see what comes of it...

I would swear there was a recent thread about making a custom fender liner with material bought at the hardware store for cheap.
