Custom Trail Emblem Made

Just an FYI Shapeways has free shipping this week!

Thanks for the info! I will include a note on the description page.

looks good :) I have only plasti-dipped so the results have been pretty predictable. Please update you see any changes.

Ordered mine today, seriously you guys did an amazing job with this. :bravo::nicethread:

Still very happy with mine - but I had to plasti-dip them orange. The green faded quickly to purple-ish white. P-Dip is holding up well and hasn't lost any color. Been on the trails with MANY tree branches grabbing at the dip....no peeling.

Thx, some great people with some good ideas hammered it :)

Thanks for the feedback! did you by any chance coat it with a UV clear coat when you got it? I am really curious to know if/how that is holding up for any one that has tried it.

What orange did you try? Looks like plasti-dip has a million different oranges.

I installed mine this weekend... thanks for all the info about how to get these!

Anyone have any trouble with the shapeways ordering? I'm not real tech savvy but I must be missing something. Keeps saying 0 ideas in cart

So I have three of these. I have three because one came broke but it still usable.

My wife doesn't really care for them, I haven't been able to convince her to let me put them on and it is her truck.

So.

If someone wants them I'll sell mine for $28 shipped in the lower 48. Three of them, one had the "IL" break off off but they can be glued together and put on a truck easy.

This might not help now, Shapeways has great support, a picture of the broken one and an email to their support they would have taken care of you.

I should clarified my post, I have three because they do have great support and sent a replacement, sorry if I wasn't clear with that. Great service!

Thanks, good to hear :)

Although I think I would sneak one on the rear lift gate and see how long it takes the wife to notice :D

Going back to page one... I think if I were to add these to my rig, I'd spray them just like this, patina and rust and stick them on. If I could find a way I'd be happy sticking them to the truck of course. I'm not fond of double sided tape particularly.

I just bought a pair of black strong and flexible and I would like to keep the matte finish, can I just use primer and the flat black paint and still have the UV protection ?

Hi! You could spray it with an additional layer of UV stable clear matte, such as Krylon 1309.
